Subject: Very interesting...
I have worked with the Network Sound Effects Library when I was in high school and college. At the time this audio demo was made (1983), there were 40 CDs in the library. Currently there are 120 CDs available in the Network Sound Library (available from Sound Ideas.) My college had the original 40 CD library, when they got it back in the mid-80s, but my high school had all the discs up to CD 91.
Also worth of note is Burgess Meredith (the 1960s Penguin, Mickey of "Rocky," the 1983 "Twilight Zone Movie" narrator, Puff the Magic Dragon and more) as the audio demo's narrator, and the voice of Merlin the Sorcerer. Legs the Frog was voiced by Lorenzo Music (a.k.a. Garfield the Cat!)
